Enid Habitat for Humanity

Since its founding in 1985 (First Affiliation in Oklahoma), our Local Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and its supporters have built 27 homes for Enid, Oklahoma families.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Enid Habitat builds simple, decent and affordable houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families.

Our program is designed to make home ownership possible for low-income families that don't qualify for traditional loans, but have demonstrated the ability to repay a Habitat mortgage and are in urgent need of a safe, decent place to live.

Going Green and the Future of our Children

We need to find alternative renewable energy resources and we don't have much time. Oklahoma is situated in the perfect location to harness the wind. Wind energy is safe, reliable and friendly to the environment.

We need to do it for our kids.

Kite flying, and the record attempt, will be tied into the concept of Oklahoma Wind Energy. Interest at the national, state and local levels has been expressed and we expect this to be a major event in Northwest and Central Oklahoma.
