Thank you to everyone who came out to attempt the world record with us today! It was a fun day and a wonderful sight to see! Final Count: 2,439 Kites On Saturday, September 25, 2010, thousands people gathered in Enid, Oklahoma, to break the Guinness World Record for most kites in the air simultaneously. This was not only a Guinness World Record attempt, but also a fundraiser for Enid Habitat for Humanity and the Enid SPCA. On Friday the 24th, the Enid Wind Energy Forum hosted several hundred participants, and the tie-in to Kites Over Enid is to bring attention to wind energy. Numerous "show" kites were on display and there were special appearances by the internationally famous TKO Stunt Kite Team. We had special "door" prizes including $400.00 radio-controlled kites, thousands of dollars in candy, toys and cash dropped from kites.     Download Kites Over Enid 2010 Flyer (PDF)   Which are Better... The Kites Over Enid 2009 attempt to break a Guinness World Record brought thousands together for an afternoon behind Autry Technology Center, raised over $32,000 and set a North American record.
