On Saturday, September 25, 2010, thousands of kids ages 3 to 93 will gather in Enid, Oklahoma, to break the Guinness World Record for most kites in the air simultaneously.
This is not only a Guinness World Record attempt, but also a fundraiser for Enid Habitat for Humanity and the Enid SPCA.
On Friday the 24th, the Enid Wind Energy Forum will host several hundred participants, and the tie-in to Kites Over Enid is to bring attention to wind energy.
Numerous "show" kites will be on display and there will be special appearances by the internationally famous TKO Stunt Kite Team. We will have special "door" prizes including $400.00 radio-controlled kites, thousands of dollars in candy, toys and cash dropped from kites.
Admission is $3.00 per person, including the official event kite. No family pays more than $10 (Mom and Dad, one child - $9.00. Mom and Dad and three children - $10.00)
Special needs groups and individuals are encouraged to attend. Site fully ADA compliant.
Bring your children and grandchildren so they can someday tell their children
and grandchildren about the day they set a Guinness World Record in Enid.
